A Fisherman and His Dog return Home With A Full Rucksack
A flat grey sea, pale sand dunes,
a box, painted red, containing equipment
for saving lives.
As the earth turned into darkness and
the sun appeared to slip, a fisherman
and his dog greeted her.
It was here, that she threw off her shadow,
as only birds do, and became a spectator
at her own birth.
She has four photographs of the dunes,
looking out to sea. With a bright red box
in two of them.
